EXCELSIORS

The Brampton Excelsiors Lacrosse Club respectfully acknowledges that the land on which we play and gather is part of the Treaty Lands and Territory of the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation. This land has been cared for by Indigenous peoples for thousands of years and continues to be home to the Anishinabek, Huron-Wendat, Haudenosaunee, Ojibway/Chippewa peoples, and the Métis Nation, with a deep historical connection to the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation.

Lacrosse, known as the Creator's Game, holds deep spiritual and cultural significance for Indigenous communities, particularly the Haudenosaunee people, who have played it for centuries as a means of healing and giving thanks. We honour this rich heritage and recognize the profound contributions of Indigenous peoples to the sport.

We respect the enduring relationship Indigenous peoples have with this land and the treaties that were made on these territories, and we are grateful for the opportunity to gather, play, and build community here. By acknowledging this history, we reaffirm our commitment to reconciliation and strive to move forward in partnership with Indigenous communities.
